Early detection of eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy is vital in the treatment of these conditions. In addition to detection of eye diseases, eye exams by a Doctor of Optometry can help diagnose problems in your overall health, such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
We recommend an annual eye exam for children and seniors, and once every two years for healthy adults. More frequent visits may be required if you suffer from certain medical conditions.
Don’t forget children’s eye exam 0-12 years old are covered under BC medical, 13+ have a small fee for their exams!
