Dr. Paul NeumannDr. Paul Neumann - Central Saanich Optometry Clinic, Optometrists in Saanichton, BC

Dr. Paul Neumann was born and raised in Toronto, but after two months in Victoria for his 1991 summer internship, he saw the light. Upon graduation from the University of Waterloo he moved to BC and started his private practice on the Peninsula in 1995.

Dr. Neumann is a strong believer in empowerment and education, so his staff receive constant educational upgrades. He stays busy himself as a board member of Optometric Services inc., and through his involvement with the British Columbia Association of Optometrists. Dr. Neumann was the BCAO president from 2007-09 and received the President’s award in 2012. Now practicing in a time of constant technological growth, he is very proud to offer the latest in computerized testing. While technology has moved forward, Dr. Neumann maintains the unhurried one-on-one care that is only possible in private practice.

Dr. Florence Leclair

Dr. Florence Leclair joins us with great exhilaration, after 5 years practicing in Ottawa. She graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Montreal in 2011, and has since been committed to offering the highest level of optometric care in both French and English. She also found much personal growth and satisfaction from participating in a humanitarian mission in Transylvania, Romania.

Dr. Leclair passionately believes in preventive medicine and is committed to emphasizing the discussion on eye health with all her patients. She focuses on helping patients of all ages achieve optimal vision for their lifestyle. Dr. Leclair is eagerly looking forward to taking care of you and your family.

Lorraine

Lorraine began her Optometric career in 1990 while living in Peterborough, Ontario. As the Island is her “home”, when she moved back out West Lorraine continued her optometric work in Campbell River. It was here she earned her accreditation of Registered Optometric Assistant. In 2005 Lorraine joined the team at the Central Saanich Optometry Clinic and is now our office manager. Drop in on Saturdays to have Lorraine show you all our latest styles. If you are confused about your optical choices, Lorraine will set you straight.

Monique may not wear glasses a lot of the time, but her passion for them is unquestionable! She has worked in eye care since 2006, and started at Central Saanich Optometry in 2009. She was certified as an Optometric Assistant that same year, and further developed her skills working in clinics in Alberta and Ontario. After a hiatus from CSO she is thrilled to be back on home turf. Trust Monique for an honest style opinion; she’ll guarantee you walk away looking amazing!

Leah came to us in October 2011, after 10 years working in medical offices around the city. Born and raised on the Peninsula, Leah enjoys greeting the many familiar faces that come through the office. Her commitment to eye care and diligent studies earned her a Certified Optometric Assistant accreditation in 2013. If you find yourself admiring our varied frame selection, you can thank Leah for her careful selection of each piece. Also our office computer whiz, Leah keeps us up and running.

Lori
is a valuable asset to our team, with experience spanning various fields of eye care since 2004. She started her career on the front lines of the field as a surgical assistant in a laser refractive centre. Since then Lori has been building her experience in optometry clinics, applying her skills to reception and pre-testing. Lori completed the Ophthalmic Assistant Program in 2006 and her undeniable passion for learning has continued to drive her as she learns every nuance of our advanced pre-testing technology.

Kerry

 

Kerry comes to us with a long history of retail management and he utilizes his friendly and genuine customer service to assist our patients. New to the optometric field he is quickly learning his challenging new position as an optical dispenser. Kerry spent time in northern BC as a remote medic and has been an islander for 10 years now. Combining his work experience with his love of the outdoors Kerry uses his experience to assist our patients in choosing the right sunglasses and lifestyle spectacles.
